America's Boating Club of Waukegan, also officially known as the Waukegan Sail and Power Squadron, is a fun maritime community built For Boaters, By Boaters®. Our membership consists of people who love boating, including youngsters and old timers, neophytes and old salts, sailors, power boaters, loopers and circumnavigators. A few of us are even into paddling our kayaks, canoes and paddle boards.

America's Boating Channel
is the official showcase and repository for digital videos focused on boating safety and boater education and a multitude of other topics. Check out the newest and informative release on boat operator responsibilities.

Most of our members live in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We generally boat on Lake Michigan, but some of our members boat on smaller lakes, such as the Chain 'O Lakes or other regional lakes and rivers. A lot of our members keep their boats in harbors in Waukegan and Winthrop Harbor in Illinois, and Kenosha and Racine in Wisconsin. Some of our snowbirders migrate back north during our summer boating season. We also have several USPS Cyber Squadron members. Our Squadron covers most of northeastern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. We were originally chartered as the Waukegan Power Squadron in 1957. We are an affiliate member of District 20, our regional organizationand also the national United States Power Squadrons - America's Boating Club®.

We provide many opportunities for social activities throughout the year, both on and off the water, including picnics, cruises and get-togethers. Sometimes we hold boating-related training sessions and feature guest speakers either dockside or at our general meetings.
